Fodor's Review

A good choice for families, this large hotel is directly across the street from a protected stretch of Kuhio Beach and near Kapiolani Park. All regular rooms are furnished in dark tropical woods with lava-red floral-print fabrics; 85% of them have full or partial ocean views, and most have private lanai. Tiki's Grill & Bar—with its popular coconut shrimp and fun island-inspired cocktails—completes the tropical-island experience. Breakfast, evening music, and gatherings take place on the third-floor pool deck. In the early mornings, there's an international food court where guests can choose complimentary breakfast munchies to pack in a take-out cooler bag and head to the beach across the street to catch some early-morning wave action. Kids love the in-room movies and games and free hula lessons twice weekly.

Waikiki Lazy Days at the Aston

I have stayed at the Aston twice now. By some strange and weird coincidence, I was given exactly the same room I had the year before. What took me there to stay again.....Breakfast!! The only disappointing part was that in 2011 they actually gave out soft insulated carry bags to put your breakast in, and now they have changed to paper bags in 2012. It is truly an experience to see people in a food frenzy first thing in the morning. My husband

is always guilty of taking food during breakfast, so I decided to take him to this hotel where I had stayed on my own the year before, and let him loose at breakfast time. He had a ball, and did not get in trouble for taking extra. Quite a change. One of the easiest parts of staying at the Aston is having an extensive number of guide companies to book tours available on the second floor. Very efficient and they are are very helpful with thorough information on all the tours. This hotel is very family friendly and good for children, and is close the the beach, shops and the Aquarium as well. Free Wifi on the 2nd floor is very helpful. It is so hard, working on your computer in Hawaii overlooking Waikiki Beach, drink on the table, and all your clients think you are in the office thousands of kilometers away.

Aston Waikiki Beach Hotel Review

Just returned from a 1 week stay at the Aston. My wife and I really enjoyed it with a couple exceptions, the elevators were really congested. Five elevators all ending up on floor 3 with everyone trying to go in different directions and it's quite a small area. And the buffet breakfast. You'd think it was everyones last meal. What a frenzy. Needs to be better organized. We loved the Tiki Bar and Grill. Food was excellent and service outstanding.

Great view, great background music. Great stay.

My wife and I stayed here for one week and we absolutely loved our stay. The room was big enough for 2 people, and our view was magnificent. There were many lazy days we hung out our the lanai, usually early morning or late evening. Evenings had a nice trio band with slack guitars that sang in harmony at the tiki bar which was pretty soft which put us either to sleep or made us more relaxed as we heard the waves crash against the beach. We had the

14th floor, the elevator was not really a problem but the keycard to go up on it was kind of slow, but is to be expected on a 25 story hotel. The room was nice and all the employees were very friendly. Good location too. I highly recommend the ocean-front view.
