Carson's Volcano Cottage

Fodor's Review:

New owners (the Winslows) have taken over from the Carsons and are doing a bang-up job of bringing these guest rooms and cottages back to life. The handful of guest rooms plus one private cottage (Nick's Cabin) are decorated in Hawaiian and Asian themes with comfy Hawaiian quilts and antiques. The cottage also has its own woodburning stove and kitchen. A large covered hot tub is set up in the middle of the rainforest outside -- perfect on a clear, starry night. A huge buffet breakfast is served in the dining room every morning for all guests.

  • Hotel Details: 4 rooms, 1 cabin
  • In-room: no a/c, no phone (some), kitchen (some), no TV (some).
  • Credit Cards: AE, D, MC, V
