Fodor's Review:
Like some of its neighbors, the Hilo Seaside Hotel is showing its age. It's also a bit noisy due to its proximity to the airport. That said, it is a friendly, laid-back, and otherwise peaceful place, with tropical rooms that have private lanai. The nicest ones overlook the koi-filled lagoon, or are around the pool. The staff is friendly, the restaurant serves local fare, and the tropical foliage around you gives you a sense of old Hawaii.
