This is a one-of-a-kind experience with a mix of traditional standbys (lomilomi massage, moisturizing facials) and innovative treatments influenced by ancient traditions and incorporating local products. Most treatments take place in outdoor thatched hales (huts) surrounded by lava rock. An exception is Watsu therapy, in which clients are cradled in the arms of a certified therapist in warm salt water in a 1,000-square-foot grotto between two lava tubes. (It's great
for people with disabilities who can't enjoy traditional massage.) Black volcanic clay applications are offered in a natural lava sauna. Aesthetic treatments incorporate high-end products from Epicuran and Emminence, so facials have lasting therapeutic effects. The spa also offers a full regimen of fitness and yoga classes.
