This rocky beach on the Kolekole River offers an idyllic setting for a barbecue or picnic. A large banyan tree leans over the river, and its rope swing is a hit with local kids during lazy summer days. An old train bridge crosses the river where it empties into the ocean. The surf can be rough, so only experienced swimmers should venture past the river's mouth. Back on the road, a scenic drive takes you from the top of the park through the old town of Wailea back to Highway 19.
