Fodor's Review

Visitors enjoy stopping here for breakfast or lunch after a morning of snorkeling at Kealakekua Bay, and for good reason: the views of the Honaunau coast from this roadside restaurant are stunning. Breads are all homemade, and you get to choose your favorite when ordering a generously sized sandwich brimming with Black Forest ham and the like. If you're in the mood for a Hawaiian smoothie, iced honey-mocha latte, scone, or homemade luau bread, it's worth the detour, even though the parking lot can be tricky to maneuver.

Best view, but place needs some remodel

I have visited this fun outdoor eating restaurant many times. I still like it. However, it must have changed hands as the same plastic chairs are still there after 9 years. The view is fantastic and you look down on a farm. There are limited seats, so prepare to wait a bit. There is one waitress for all the tables, so get used to Hawaii time! Food quality was down a bit. Bread pudding was too dry. Had to wait and wait for a refill on my

coffee. Salt shaker was empty at 9 am, honey container was just gross and dried up. I think they used to have two waitresses, but maybe one was ill. I would still recommend trying this at least once. Hopefully, the seats and tables will be replaced with something more modern. One other problem is that they allow motorbikes to back in an park, idle, etc in front of the business. This is stinky and noisy.
