Why We Like It

The calm serenity of this place makes you want to hang around all day, just reading a book and enjoying the natural beauty. The seasonal stream is tranquil, the rolling hills of Waimea are right in the backyard, and the tree swing adds just a touch of nostalgia that helps to give the whole property a special place in your heart.

Fodor's Expert Review

Surprisingly luxe yet cozy and quaint, the three charming country cottages and one suite at this historical Hawaiian homestead are surrounded by flowering private gardens and a backyard stream. One cottage (Kohala) and the newly added Ohana Suite include a full kitchen, and the others (Waimea and the Garden Studio) a kitchenette. Each is stocked with provisions, including fresh farm eggs from the property, for a generous and hearty self-serve breakfast. All have their own private gardens and beautiful hardwood floors. The Kohala cottage features a luxury bath with whirlpool soaking tub, and the Garden Studio is equipped with a rain-shower head. The grounds are teeming with birds and plant life that will make you want to move in for good. Inquire for seasonal specials.

You Should Know The entrance can be a little hard to find off the highway, as the property sits just behind another home. Trust your GPS and you’ll find it tucked away from the highway. You’ll definitely know it when you get there.
