Fodor's Expert Review
Villas with terra-cotta–tile roofs are set amid landscaped lagoons and waterfalls at the edge of the championship Waikoloa Village Golf Course. The spacious villas and condo units—ground and upper floors are available separately—are privately owned, so furnishings vary from unit to unit. Sliding glass doors open onto large lanai, and picture windows look out onto rolling green fairways. All units have complete kitchens with washer-dryer. Check the website for separate online-booking rates and specials. A daily $10 amenity fee includes Wi-Fi, newspaper, parking, coffee, and security safe.
Tip Be sure to take a look at their free daily car rental package – it’s a nice extra feature that may or may not be a money saving perk for you.

You Should Know The property and units are starting to get a bit of a dated feel, so while this is a comfortable place with some nice perks, the units can be a bit of a crapshoot. Be sure to scroll through photos of each individual unit when booking.

You’ll need a car to get to your accommodations and around the island, but much of Waikoloa Village is within walking distance.
Restaurants
At Lava Lava Beach Club (6-minute walk) you’ll find a menu that includes happy hour specials, daily fish preparations, and island twists on classic foods like hamburgers and ribs all right on the beach. The bar is also a huge draw, with delicious and strong cocktails (the “Big Bamboocha” will definitely get your vacation started well) and a nice wine menu. For a delicious island breakfast or brunch (along with morning cocktails), try popular Daylight Mind Coffee Company (5-minute drive).
