A casual tavern overlooking the Jekyll Harbor Marina, SeaJay's serves delicious, inexpensive seafood, including a crab chowder and Brunswick stew that locals love. This is also the home of the wildly popular, nightly Lowcountry boil buffet: an all-you-can-eat feast of local shrimp, corn on the cob, smoked sausage, and red potatoes. There's live music Thursday through Saturday night. Bring the kids—special menus run from $5.95.

The atmosphere was great but the food was below average. The service was the worst of any restaurant we patronized on Jekyll or St. Simons. I had scallops and my wife had shrimp scampi. I might go for lunch but will not go back at night. There are too many good places to waste a night here.

Seemed like we were the only "tourists" here. Lots of locals and the food, especially the 'boil' was great. Service a little slow.
