Everything's made from scratch at this popular waterside restaurant, including the desserts. And the seafood comes fresh from the owner's boats. You can order shrimp, scallops, and oysters, or opt for the Captain's Platter and get some of everything. Fish is available fried, grilled, or blackened.

In general it seemed the quality didn't fit the price. It just felt like any old roadside stop. The fried scallops we ordered were very oily. The hush puppies and fried shrimp were good as well as the salads. My crabcake was cold with a hint of warm around the edges and had to be reheated. I expected better and was disappointed.

I wanted something BESIDES a chain restaurant for dinner. This was the only restaurant I found a listing for in Fodors, so we went to check it out. We were very pleased. The food was fresh and very good. The service was good. Atmosphere was a little small town, very plain, no frills, but it was nice not to eat in a chain restaurant.
