Marine Education Center and Aquarium

Marine Education Center and Aquarium Review

On the grounds of the former Modena Plantation, the University of Georgia runs this aquarium with exhibits about the state's coastal wildlife and ecosystems. Kids love seeing the tidal creeks of the salt marshes, the ocean beaches, and the open waters of the continental shelf up close. The sea turtles are especially popular. Don't miss the nature trails that overlook the marshes and the coast.
