Sapphire Grill
Sapphire Grill Review
Savannah's young and restless pack this trendy haunt with its loft-like style. Chef Chris Nason focuses his seasonal menus on local ingredients, such as Georgia white shrimp, crab, and fish. The Grill features succulent choices of steak, poultry, and fish, with a myriad interesting à la carte accompaniments such as jalapeño tartar sauce, sweet soy-wasabi sauce, and lemongrass butter. Vegetarians will delight in the elegant vegetable presentations—perhaps including roasted sweet onions, spicy peppers, rice wine-marinated watercress, or fried green tomatoes with grilled ginger; a three-course vegetarian tasting menu is available. You may find your bliss in the miniature cocoa gâteau with lavender almond ice cream. Downstairs, the decor is hip and hopping; upstairs is quieter and more romantic. The six-course chef's tasting menu is $100.

This marvelous modern restaurant is one of the best in Savannah. The chef is wonderfully creative, the atmosphere is dark, romantic and slick.
Unlike some of the other reviews here, we felt that Sapphire was a good value.
