Fodor's Review:

Two town houses, built 50 years apart, form this elegant inn. Most rooms have king-size beds, and all have fireplaces and reproduction antique furnishings; four rooms have whirlpool tubs; three have balconies. A carriage house to the rear of the property has less expensive rooms.

Innkeepers should stay away

My wife and I stayed at the inn awhile back. After spending as money as we did, we expected at least great southern hospitality from the Inn Keepers. Upon arrival we knew this was going to be an akward stay. The staff was great, the room were great but if you requested anything extra like honey for your tea or if you were a few minutes late getting to breakfast the Innkeepers were not happy. The problem was you knew it. They were short and treated us as if we were bothering them if we had questions. We are not hard people to please by no means but I would never stay there again. I hope that they do not treat all there guest this way. Maybe it was a bad weekend for them but at the price we were paying that should not have mattered.

I thought that customer service was a thing of the past until I visited the Foley House Inn. All of the staff go beyond the call of duty to ensure that you have everything you need and that all of the days activities are planned and dinner reservations made in advance. The entire Inn is absolutely spotless to be an old historic mansion. Hats off to the housekeeping dept. Turndown service with chocolate and rose petals on the bed was a wonderful surprise. The designer sheets were heavenly as well as the luxurious towels. We love the Foley House Inn and especially because they have balcony rooms. Don and Beryl are the most gracious and lovely Innkeepers. Their attention to detail and the bond they share with their employees are felt by their guests. We felt like one big family! We didn't want to leave!!
