The rooms at this restored 1853 Federal-style row house on historic Gordon Row near Chatham Square aren't quite as luxe as some of Savannah's finer B&Bs, but they are handsomely appointed and retain many elements of the home's original charm, such as beamed ceilings and exposed-brick walls. The courtyard garden is a lovely cluster of potted tropical flowers surrounding an inviting koi pond. There are four self-contained cottages, and some rooms also have kitchens. Breakfast—which may include sweet-potato pancakes, biscuits and gravy, and eggs to order—can be taken in the parlor or out on the patio, where you may be joined by one of the several courtyard cats. Afternoon tea service is accompanied by fresh baked goods, and milk and homemade chocolate-chip cookies are served every night of the week.
