Glow MedSpa & Beauty Boutique. The sparkling Glow MedSpa & Beauty Boutique offers a more extensive menu of services than your average day spa. Specializing in the latest treatments for face and skin, this full-service spa offers exceptional massages and a wide selection of high-end cosmetics hand-selected by owner Courtney Buntin Victor. It's about 8 miles from downtown, but the excellent customer service makes it worth the drive. 415 Eisenhower Dr., Suite 1, Midtown, Savannah, GA, 31406. 912/303–9611. www.glowsavannah.com. Tues.–Sat. 10–6.

JW Salon & Spa. One of the most aesthetically attractive spas in Savannah, JW Salon & Spa is a must for brides-to-be. The range of services includes massages, hydrotherapy, facials, manicures, and pedicures. The treatment area is two levels of a 19th-century brick row house that was renovated into a soothing, contemporary loftlike setting. 19 E. York St., Historic District, Savannah, GA, 31401. 912/272–7676. www.jwsalonandspa.com. Mon. 10–5, Tues. and Thurs.–Fri. 10–7, Weds. 10–6, Sat. 9–4.

Magnolia Spa. This spa is a mother lode of pampering services that most tourists may not stumble upon in their wanderings. Everything at Magnolia Spa is new and fresh, and the service and quality of the treatments are laudable. There are massages par excellence, a litany of facials, body treatments, and even a teen spa for girls 16 and under. The spa also caters to couples. Marriott Savannah Riverfront, 100 General McIntosh Blvd., Historic District, Savannah, GA, 31401. 912/373–2039. www.csspagroup.com. Mon.–Sat. 9–6, Sun. 9–4.

Poseidon Spa. The very chic Poseidon Spa is a first-class European-style spa, with a number of rejuvenating treatments and refinement services. It offers manicures, pedicures, skin and body treatments, and massages. Included in treatments is access to the hotel's white marble courtyard and pool, a 24-hour fitness center, and relaxation area. One wet and three dry treatment rooms, women's and men's locker rooms, and a steam shower make up the facilities. This is the town's glamour spa, though in truth prices run just a little more than the rest. It's also a beautiful, calming place to be. The Mansion on Forsyth Park, 700 Drayton St., Historic District, Savannah, GA, 31401. 912/721–5004. www.mansiononforsythpark.com. Mon.–Thurs. 9–6, Fri.–Sat. 9–7, Sun. 9–4.

Savannah Day Spa. In addition to traditional spa services, Savannah Day Spa offers a complete line of skin-care products, accessories for home, and a new line of vegan body products. This is a former urban mansion and a delightful place to take your treatments, be it one of the creative massages or a therapeutic facial for your particular skin type. It's also one of the more romantic settings for couples messages. 18 E. Oglethorpe St., Downtown, Savannah, GA, 31401. 912/234–9100. www.savannahdayspa.com. Mon.–Thurs. 10–8, Fri. 10–7, Sat. 9–6, every other Sun. 11–5.

Westin Heavenly Spa. Across the Savannah River from downtown, the Westin Heavenly Spa feels a world away. Housed in a country club, the spa features the standard menu of services and then some. The "quiet room" is a highlight, with its solarium-like setting. It's a little on the pricey side, but it's worth it for the relaxing, luxurious environment. If you're coming from downtown Savannah, you might consider traveling across the river by water taxi. Westin Savannah Harbor Golf Resort & Spa, 1 Resort Dr., Hutchinson Island, Savannah, GA, 31421. 912/201–2250. www.westinsavannah.com. Sun.–Weds. 9–5, Thurs.–Sat. 9–6.
