Fodor's Review:

When you ask St. Simons restaurateurs which is their pick for the island's best, Halyards gets a nod nearly every time. This polished, elegant restaurant with a laid-back attitude makes everything but the bread and ketchup in-house. Chef-owner Dave Snyder's devotion to quality has earned a faithful following of discerning locals. Headliners are the seared, sushi-grade tuna with a plum wine reduction, the seafood paella containing everything from lobster to calamari, and the filet mignon. There's also a tasting menu with four sample dishes paired with select wines from the restaurants nearly 200 item wine list. Two servers are sommeliers, so if you don't know, just ask.

By far one of the best restaurants on the Island. Prices being extremely high are myths. If you're looking for a nice dining experience, this is the place to go.

DonnaJo must have caught Halyards on an off night, because we've never had anything but fabulous dining experiences there. Their fall menu is great -- definitely worth a try!
