$$$$, Contemporary, Jekyll Island
Fodor's Review:
When it was built in 1917, the Crane cottage -- actually an elegant Italianate villa -- was the most expensive winter home on Jekyll Island. Now, as part of the Jekyll Island Club Hotel, the Courtyard at Crane offers casual alfresco dining. The menu has a Mediterranean flair with plenty of salads at lunch and more substantial dishes into the evening such as marinated grilled rib eye, and a vegetable strudel.
