Fodor's Review

Once home to a key author of the Confederate Constitution, T.R.R. Cobb, this historic home has had quite a journey. The Greek Revival structure, with its signature octagonal wings, stands about two blocks from its original location. The house was moved in the 1980s to Stone Mountain, where it sat untouched for 20 years. In 2005, the house was moved back to Athens and meticulously restored. Now open to the public, it details 19th-century Southern life.
