Fodor's Review

Located on the ground floor of the Old State Capitol, this museum tells the story of Milledgeville and the surrounding region from prehistory to post Civil War. A great deal of community pride has gone into this museum, and the majority of its artifacts came from local residents. The Gothic structure, unusual for a statehouse of its time, was built in 1807. Take a peek upstairs at the recently restored legislative chamber.
