Antebellum Inn Review

Each room in this pre-Civil War mansion has beautiful period antiques. The Southern breakfasts are fabulous—think gourmet eggs Benedict or orange-essence croissant-French toast with lemon butter curd. The inn is owned and operated by a mother-daughter team, Jane Lorenz and Jo Ann Hicks, and both are bird lovers. In the morning, birds and woodland creatures flock to the gardens, attracted to the many decorative feeders. In spring many of the hanging planters have nesting birds.
