Ye Olde Colonial Restaurant Review
Housed in an old bank, this casual eatery is a Madison institution. Food is no-nonsense comfort for the soul—macaroni and cheese, fried chicken, barbecue pork, and squash casserole. Breakfast is quite popular, too. For fun, try to grab a seat in the original bank vault; its walls are plastered with money that was used back in 1867 to fund railroad construction after the war.
