Perched on top of a hill overlooking Augusta, this National Trust Historic Hotel is part of Hilton's Curio Collection. The inn's 12 common balconies and breathtaking upper veranda create lustrous outdoor retreats for a coffee and newspaper read. Rooms are fresh and modern and many have private balconies. There's a restaurant, rooftop bar, and pool on-site. Located at the gateway to Summerville, a hilltop neighborhood of summer homes dating to 1800, the inn was built in 1910 on the foundation of a home dating to 1836.
