Word spread quickly when Victory first opened: not only did it sell Jack (Daniels) and Coke slushies, but it also had a Ping-Pong table. As if that weren't enough to attract plenty of twenty- and thirty-somethings living in the neighborhood, the bar/restaurant also offers super-cheap ($4) and delicious sandwiches. The Castro is a take on the classic Cuban, with slow-roasted pork, ham, pickles, fontina cheese, and yellow mustard; the Hambo is a salty/sweet Italian treat,
with prosciutto, mozzarella, arugula, apple, and a balsamic reduction. The prices are small, but so are the portions: you may want to order two sandwiches if you're really hungry.
