After losing her original location to make way for Centennial Olympic Park, Thelma Grundy moved her operation to Auburn Avenue. The new location—more cheerful than the earlier spot—serves favorites like okra pancakes, fried catfish, slaw, and macaroni and cheese, all of which are among the best in town. Thelma's desserts, including lemon cheese pound cake, sweet-potato pie, red velvet cake, and pecan pie, are worth the trip.
