The chef from beloved Madras Saravana Bhavan moved here after it closed, taking with him a loyal following. Favorites include cheese masala dosai (lentil flour crepe with spiced potatoes), mango lassi (yogurt smoothie), and chat samosas (vegetable turnovers topped with onions, chickpeas, crispy noodles, sweet and sour sauces, and cilantro). The service is fast and the restaurant is spacious, with big-screen televisions playing Bollywood music videos. There are meat dishes as well as many vegetarian options, and it's easy to get a table.
