Brunch is big business in Atlanta, and sometimes the waits at the best spots can span an hour. But this little eatery, across the street from the always-packed Flying Biscuit, somehow always seems to have room on a stool or in one of the six booths. Sitting at the counter is like sitting in your friend's kitchen while she cooks; the work is done right there in front of you by the easygoing, tattooed staff. The food may take longer to arrive, but it's worth the wait for fluffy omelets and great pancakes—locals rave about the sweet-potato pancakes. Hours are limited—9 am to 2:30 PM—so plan accordingly.
