National Black Arts Festival
National Black Arts Festival Review
Celebrating black literature, dance, visual arts, theater, film, and music, this fesival is held in venues throughout the city the third week in July. Maya Angelou, Cicely Tyson, Harry Belafonte, Spike Lee, Tito Puente, and Wynton Marsalis have all appeared at past events. There is also year-round programming.
