When founder and James Beard Award-winning chef Joël Antunes decided to leave this elegant brasserie to work at New York City's Plaza Hotel, many a foodie worried that the French-inflected menu would go downhill. But non. Antunes remains a partner in the Atlanta enterprise, and chef Cyrille Holota now occupies the famed dream kitchen, an immaculate and roomy 5,000-square-foot space so vast its creation almost halved the restaurant's seating capacity. Holata does Joël proud. The tomato tart is the perfect mix of fresh vegetables and basil on a crispy cracker, and the truffle grits are so creamy they feel like custard. The atmosphere is romantic, making a visit feel even more special.

The restaurant was redone this past year and this was my first visit since then. The new space is still quite contemporary, but smaller, warmer, and a far more inviting experience than it once was.
The food is superb. Joel Antunes is a very talented chef, and the service was very attentive.
It was a wonderful evening out for us at one of the best restaurants in Atlanta.
