Fodor's Review

Atlanta architect Phillip Trammel Shutze designed this 14-story edifice, originally known as the Empire Building, in 1901. In 1929 Shutze refashioned the first three floors, bestowing on them a decidedly Renaissance look. This was one of the city's first steel-frame structures, but during the renovation Shutze resheathed the base with masonry.
