Flying Fish Review

One of Disney's best restaurants, Flying Fish is whimsically decorated with murals, along the upper portion of the walls, that pay tribute to Atlantic seaboard spots of the early 1900s. This is a place where you put on your "resort casual" duds to "dine," as opposed to putting on your flip-flops and shorts to "chow down." The chefs take the food so seriously that the entire culinary team takes day trips to local farms to learn their foodstuffs' origins. Flying Fish's best dishes include potato-wrapped red snapper, which is so popular it has been on the menu for several years, and oak-grilled salmon. Groups of up to six can sit at the counter that directly faces the exhibition kitchen for a five-course wine tasting menu.

    Flying Fish Review

We've eaten at Flying Fish twice and had excellent meals both times. My appetizer of mussels in pesto broth was outstanding. All of the food is outstanding. The service is wonderful. The restaurant fills quickly so book your reservation early.

Flying Fish Cafe, Disney, near Epcot

My husband and I just had dinner at the Flying Fish restaurant located on the Boardwalk near Epcot in Orlando, Florida. The view was spectacular, you can clearly see the Epcot Ball from the restaurant, and the lagoon located all along the Boardwalk. Kids can play football on the green lawn located all around the gazebo, and families rent bicycle-coaches for 6, riding up and down the wooden promenade. Truly a site to see, it takes you to a place in time reminiscent of an old New England Boardwalk.
Now for the Flying Fish. This restaurant is beautifully decorated (like all of Disney), and there is a long bar all along the kitchen area, where you can watch the Chefs in action. A large wood burning grill is in clear view, and you can watch in delight as the sparks fly from the fire. Tables are casually decorated, and it is full of mostly families (so if you dont like to dine next to kids, this isn't the place for you). Dress is casual, but you can dress up if you like.
