The northern Italian cuisine here is uniformly good. The chicken meatballs with orrechiette pasta, oven dried tomatoes, spinach, and chicken broth is an excellent choice, and at least gives you the feeling that you are cutting calories. Other fine options include linguine alla vongole, which includes manila clams, lemon, white wine, and garlic, and the farfalle pasta, with wood-roasted chicken, snow peas, asparagus, and Parmesan cream sauce. There's always a fresh-catch special, as well as tasty wood-oven pizza. If you are ready to unload your wallet, go for the excellent filet mignon with roasted mushrooms. A true bargain at this place is the minestrone (served with lots of fresh bread), which is still $5 a bowl even after years of popularity. Reservations are accepted 30 days in advance, and are difficult to get with shorter notice.

I always enjoy this restaurant - it's consistently delicious and especially fun to sit on the little patio overlooking the lake. It's always very busy.
