Lake Buena Vista Resort

Fodor's Review:

A 2008 renovation of the lobby, and the adjoining restaurant and bar, has given this place a much cleaner, less-smaltzy look, without doing away with one of the hotel's best assets—the great green view of the wetlands that back up to the building. They also added an in-house Pizza Hut that offers to-go goodies, and the renovation in its entirety has brought a more current feel to the place. Most rooms have private, furnished balconies with spectacular views of the nightly Disney fireworks. Disney shuttles are available, but you can walk to Downtown Disney in 10 minutes or less. The resort also offers free shuttle service to Orlando outlet malls. Pros : one of the best bargains on Hotel Row; close to Downtown Disney. Cons : not as plush as other Hotel Row properties; inconvenient to Universal and downtown Orlando.
