A shimmering red-and-gold, three-tier replica of Beijing's Temple of Heaven towers over a serene Chinese garden, an art gallery displaying treasures from the People's Republic, a spacious emporium devoted to Chinese goods, and two restaurants. The gardens—-planted with a native Chinese tallow tree, water lilies, bamboo, and a 100-year-old weeping mulberry tree—-are tranquil.

Piped-in traditional Chinese music flows gently over the peaceful hush of the gardens, which come alive with applause and cheers when the remarkable Dragon Legend Acrobats tumble into a roped-off area for their breathtaking act. At China's popular Nine Dragons Restaurant try the shrimp summer rolls or the salt-and-pepper shrimp with spinach noodles; there are also several chicken and stir-fry favorites.
