Castaway Creek
Castaway Creek Review
This circular, 15-foot-wide, 3-foot-deep waterway is chill. Snag an inner tube, and float along a creek that winds through the park and around the surf pool and beaches. You pass through a rain forest that showers you with spray, you slide through caves and grottoes, you float by overhanging trees and flowering bushes, and you get dumped on at the Water Works with "broken" pipes. The current flows a gentle 2½ feet per second; it takes about 20 minutes to make a full circuit. Along the way there are landing areas where you can hop in and out. For people with disabilities: Guests using wheelchairs must transfer to an inner tube. A full circuit takes about 20 minutes, longer if you stop at one of the five lifeguard-manned launches.
