Mickey's PhilharMagic Review

Mickey Mouse may be the headliner here, but it's Donald Duck's misadventures—reminiscent of Mickey's as the sorcerer's apprentice in Fantasia—that set the comic pace in this gorgeous, 3-D animated film. As you settle into your seat, the on-screen action takes you behind the curtains at a grand concert hall where Donald and Mickey are preparing for a musical performance. But when Donald misuses Mickey's sorcerer's hat, he finds himself on a whirlwind journey that includes a magic carpet ride and an electrifying dip under the sea. And you go along for the ride. On the way you meet Ariel, Simba, Aladdin, Jasmine, Peter Pan, Tinker Bell, and others.

The film startles with its special-effects technology—you'll smell a fresh-baked apple pie, feel the rush of air as champagne corks pop, and get lost in the action on the 150-foot-wide screen. The 3-D film marks the first time that classic Disney characters appear in a computer-generated animation attraction. Some of the effects can startle small children. For people with disabilities: There's a special viewing area for guests in wheelchairs. Reflective captioning is provided; equipped for assisted-listening and audio-description devices. It's a big theater, so waits aren't long.

    Mickey's PhilharMagic Review

    Disney 3D at its best!

Meistro Mickey is getting ready to perform with his legendary PhilharMagic orcistra. But, Donald is sleeping on the stage. While Mickey makes last minute preperations for the big performance, Donald tries on Mickey's sorcerer's hat (The same one from the legendary animated short, The Sorcerer's Aprentice.) Then, he's whisked away through clasic animated movies like Beauty The Beast (Be Our Guest Sequence), The Little Mermaid, The Lion King, Peter Pan, and Aladdin. The 3D is spectacular, and the few 4D effects are an added bonus.
