This is Mt. Gushmore's big gun, which Disney bills as "the world's tallest, fastest free-fall speed slide." From Summit Plummet's "ski jump" tower at the very top of the green slopes, it's a wild 55-mph plunge straight down to a splash landing at the base of the mountain. It looks almost like a straight vertical drop, and you can't help but feel like a movie stunt double as you take the plunge. If you're watching from the beach below, you can't hear the yells of the participants, but you can bet many of them are screaming their heads off. As you probably guessed, this ride isn't appropriate for guests who are pregnant or who have heart, back, or neck problems. Make this one of your first stops. The line will only get longer as the day goes on. (Summer-afternoon waits can be up to two hours.)
