World of Disney

Fodor's Review:

You might make it through Once Upon a Toy without pulling out your wallet, but you probably won't be so lucky at World of Disney. For Disney fans, this is the Disney superstore. It pushes you into sensory overload with nearly a half-million Disney items from Tinker Bell wings to Tigger hats. But if you have girls in your party, it's the Princess Room that will get you into the most trouble. Five-foot-tall likenesses of Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty stand watch over hoards of little misses scrambling to pick out just the right accessories. Besides princess dolls, clothes, shoes, and jewelry, you can buy a Belle (or Cinderella or Sleeping Beauty) wig to complete the look. Be warned, if you have a princess-obsessed child, one of the dazzling $65 princess dresses is going to be a must-have in her eyes, and people will be plucking them off the racks left and right of her. Add to that the new Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, where girls just like yours will be receiving princess makeovers ranging in price from $45 to $180, and you could land your budget in a royal mess. Of course there are things in the $10 to $30 range, including some cute pajamas, but it's hard to compare with those dresses. For grown-ups there are elegant watches, limited-edition artwork, and stylish furniture pieces with a Disney twist.
