Fantasmic!

Fodor's Review:

Disney-MGM's blockbuster after-dark show is held once nightly (twice on weekends and in peak seasons) in a 6,500-seat amphitheater. The throngs of people filing into the Hollywood Bowl-style amphitheater give you the distinct sense that you're in for something amazing. The special effects are superlative indeed, as Mickey Mouse in the guise of the Sorcerer's Apprentice emcees a revue full of song and dance, pyrotechnics, and special effects. Several scenes from Disney films and historic events are staged amid music, special lighting, and fireworks. Arrive an hour in advance for the best seats, 20 minutes if you don't mind sitting to the side of the stage. Or sign up for the Fantasmic! Dinner Package, which includes reservations at either the Studio's Brown Derby, Hollywood & Vine, or Mama Melrose restaurants, plus seating in a special VIP area of the Fantasmic! amphitheater. You should still show up at least 20 minutes early so you don't have to sit at the very back of the VIP section, which comprises all the risers at one end of the theater.
