Express Passes

Another ticket option that comes with a widely varied price range is the Universal Express Pass that takes you to the front of most lines and can save you a lot of time. Unlike Disney Fastpasses, you don't get these for free, even in limited quantities, and they are very expensive. The price ranges from around $80 off-season to around $140 for one park in peak and holiday seasons. Keep in mind, the pass is for one use only at each attraction, and only at attractions that accept the pass (a few new or unusually popular attractions don't accept the passes). A more expensive "unlimited" pass that takes you to the head of the line again and again and again ranges from around $90 to $170 for a single park. For a pass that works at both parks, add about $20 to $30 to the standard or unlimited option. If you're a guest at one of Universal's premium hotels (Royal Pacific, Hard Rock, Portofino Bay), this perk is free; your room key serves as an unlimited Express Pass from the day you check in to the day you check out.
