Just past the turnstiles, this 17,000-square-foot lagoon is as close to a beach as you'll find in the park. With a zero-depth entry and a maximum depth of 6 feet, plus a wide beach, lounge chairs, and umbrellas surrounding it, it's generally packed. Every so often the lagoon is buffeted by 4-foot-high waves (which is why it's also known as the wave pool), eliciting screams of delight from kids. Adults are thrilled that the money they spent on floats, surfboards, and inner tubes was worth it. Anytime is fine.
