A molasses-slow line marks the entrance to this seasonal attraction (open May through September), which requires an extra $12 for an all-day pass. A moving cable with ski ropes attached encircles a large lake. After donning protective headgear and a life vest, you kneel on a knee skate or try to balance on a wakeboard, grab a ski rope, and are given the chance to circumnavigate the lake. The ½-mile ride includes five turns: roughly 75% of riders wipe out after the first one, and 90% are gone by the second. If you need help, ask the assistants for support; they want to see you go the distance and will suggest ways to help you make it around the lagoon (keep your arms in and lean forward). Riders who can stay afloat enjoy three laps per turn, but you can go back again and again. The extra fee means that the lines may be shorter (but not necessarily faster). The pass is good all day, so return when there's not a wait.
