Beetlejuice's Graveyard Revue

Beetlejuice's Graveyard Revue Review

Whew! This is some show. A Transylvanian castle is the backdrop for Beetlejuice, who warms you up with snappy lines, rude remarks, and sarcasm—a theme that lasts throughout the performance. He then introduces the stars: Frankenstein's monster, his bride, the Wolfman, and Dracula. The creatures doff their traditional garb for glitzy, hip threads to sing hits by such diverse artists as Gloria Gaynor, AC/DC, Van Halen, and Springsteen, albeit with a few changes (e.g., "Jesse's Girl" would become "Frankie's Girl"). Ghoul Girl cheerleaders, Hip and Hop, up the weirdness factor and add sex appeal. This is the only place you'll see Frankenstein's monster pretending to play an electric guitar and shouting "Are you ready to rock, Orlando?"We are not kidding. For people with disabilities: The theater is wheelchair accessible and equipped for assisted-listening devices. You can use Express Pass, but the amphitheater's high capacity means little chance of waiting.
