Bus and Trolley Travel

Hillsborough Area Regional Transit and TECO Line Street Cars replicate Tampa's first electric streetcars, transporting cruise-ship passengers to Ybor City and downtown Tampa. Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority offers bus service throughout Pinellas County, from the county's inland parts out to the beaches. PSTA also runs the Suncoast Beach Trolley, which takes passengers up and down the beaches—from Pass-A-Grille all the way up to Clearwater Beach and downtown Clearwater—for $2 each way.

Manatee County Area Transit (MCAT) has buses throughout Bradenton and the nearby towns of Palmetto and Ellenton, as well as connections to Sarasota attractions. Service is inexpensive, but it's really no substitute for a car.

St. Petersburg Trolley will get you to key destinations throughout downtown St. Pete, and even offers free service between the Chamber of Commerce Visitor's Bureau and certain destinations.
