Fodor's Review

This hotel from the Hilton family offers the chain's well-known luxury without diminishing the mellow charm of the surrounding area. It's about midway between St. Pete Beach and Clearwater Beach and the only place for miles that has a bar along the beachfront. The rooms aren't huge, but most offer stunning views of either the mangrove-lined Intracoastal Waterway or the Gulf of Mexico. Added bonuses in all rooms include a pair of soft robes and, yes, freshly baked chocolate

chip cookies, a Doubletree hallmark. On Fridays when it's not chilly out, hula dancers give a family-friendly, sunset performance by tiki light. The hotel is near the Suncoast Seabird Sanctuary and the Redington Pier.
