On trendy St. Armands Circle, this eatery isn't as good as the original in Ybor City, but is well worth a visit. The menu reflects Spanish and Cuban cooking, and includes three versions of Spanish paella and a superb black bean soup. A house specialty is pompano papillote (pompano with shrimp, crabmeat, and artichoke in a white wine sauce, baked in parchment), and the 1905 salad—with ham, olives, cheese, and garlic—is deserving of its cult status.
