Pies—key lime, egg custard, strawberry rhubarb, and others—are the main event at this family restaurant in the heart of Sarasota's Amish community. But don't miss enjoying at least one meal here. Entrées are served family style—feeding two to three people—and typically include meat loaf, liver and onions, turkey and dressing, and a wonderful goulash. Breakfasts include big stacks of pancakes. If you're in the mood for a sandwich, there are plenty to choose from, including belly-filling Manhattans (roast beef, turkey, or meatloaf on homemade bread and joined with mashed potatoes and gravy. The place gets crowded around noon and early evening.
