Opened in 1925, this wonderful eatery in the posh Renaissance Vinoy Resort has frescoed ceilings and a spectacular view of Tampa Bay. Upscale and special-occasion diners are drawn to Marchand's by an imaginative and ever-changing menu. A one-time visit might offer a deliciously rare lamb duo (T-bone and double chop) with cheese and pesto-smashed spuds, halibut poached in vanilla-bean olive oil, or lump-crab-and-cheese ravioli with crunchy duck cracklings. The wine list is extensive, including a number of by-the-glass selections. There's live jazz Friday and Saturday nights.
