We love this 1950s-vintage motel because it has some of the area's best sunrise and sunset views. The grounds, dotted with huge live oaks and sea grapes, teak deck chairs and a weathered fishing pier, add to the resort's character. The property is nicely landscaped, and it's an easy walk to the beach. Grills are available if you want to barbecue. The resort offers one- and three-bedroom cottages that make it a great place for families who want to enjoy the beach life. Continental breakfast is served on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. Pros: good value; nice views; near restaurants and shops. Cons: access via a traffic-clogged road.
