Quebec native Mike "Frenchy" Preston runs four eateries in the area, including the fabulous Rockaway Grill. We come back as often as possible to feast on grouper sandwiches that are moist and not battered into submission. (It's also real grouper, something that's not a given these days.) Frenchy also gets a big thumbs-up for his she-crab soup, and, on the march-to-a-different-drummer front, the cheddar-stuffed shrimp. In mild weather, eat on the deck, though the screaming yellow-and-turquoise paint job can be nearly as blinding as the sun.
