Five villas with multiple guest rooms fill this resort. There's a marina with boat and scuba-equipment rentals, a restaurant and bar that overlook the river, and an island where monkeys cavort in the trees—don't go near them, they bite!) Resort grounds cover 9 acres of semitropical forest along the riverfront, where ducks and other waterfowl are common. Pros: on the river; plenty of activities; monkey island. Cons: out of the way; basic rooms.

The rooms are overpriced and adequate, for $197/on the river, you expect more and are disappointed because the bathroom is small and inadequate, no coffee or perks are in the room. If you are accustomed to nice, stay away from this place. My husband and I drove from Orlando for the crabs, the internet pushes their menu. Oh my goodness, the crabs were small and overcooked and the meat was slimy and mushy. The big Valentine special crab and artichoke dip was tasteless, too much heavy cream, crabless. The grouper sandwiches were as well. If you are looking for seafood, PASS THIS UP but the $20 steak was good. Overall, go somewhere else, this place was overpriced and NOT WORTH THE DRIVE!
